I am Danni Xiao. My colleagues call me Danni X. I believe 'X' stands for some kind of superpower. Maybe it does!
I love delving into complex issues to see their essence and provide humanizing solutions.
While I might not wear a cape, with my background in information systems and accounting, I combine analytical thinking, business acumen, and creative problem-solving to deliver transformative user experiences that skyrocket metrics.
My journey began with a major in accounting and information systems at the University of Illinois. While using various enterprise financial software, I found myself more fascinated by how these systems could be improved than by crunching numbers. I wondered how to make data tables more understandable, forms less headache-inducing, and workflows smoother. This spark ignited a passion that led me to pursue a graduate degree in UX design at the University of Michigan.
Now, as a product designer for enterprise solutions, I leverage my unique background to create UX magic daily. I translate dense data into clear dashboards and turn tedious workflows into smooth journeys. It turns out my accounting skills weren't just about balancing books – they were teaching me to balance user needs with business goals.
I believe that great design is not just about logic and aesthetics but about creating seamless and meaningful experiences for my users and the people I work with.
